Photos From My Recent Travels

I've done a lot of driving these past couple of days. Yesterday I made a trip down to Hammond, LA to take the kidlets for one last trip to their MawMaw's before school starts back. As I was passing through Franklinton, LA, I ran into some nasty-looking weather.

It rained very heavily. I'm not complaining at all though. The rain is welcome as long as this intense summer heat continues.

Today, my dad and I drove up to Meridian, MS to pick up my grandfather.

Talk about an extremely long drive! Daddy kept me entertained with all his jokes and goofy antics. Here he is acting silly over a popcorn ball snack shaped like an ear of corn. He fits the description because he's a "cornball" anyway lol.

And on the way back, there was even more bad weather.

So after two days and nearly 500 miles later, I am settled in at home for an evening of blog writing/reading. :-)
