So I recently told Ben he should consider starting a sports blog where he can write away to his heart's content about whatever sport he is into at the time. The plan is that he can gain some readers over time (others who are as enthusiastic about sports as he is) and then he will have some people with whom he can babble back and forth about all of his football-related ideas and insights.
I even helped a little on his design. Now I'm not a savvy blog designer by any stretch of the imagination. I would love to be as talented as LadyJava. Her designs and layouts are simply beautiful. But, alas, my blog has slowly evolved to what it is now purely by luck and I'm careful to keep my stylesheet saved as a backup because I would never remember how I did anything on here.
But anywho, I made him a header image, changed his background to a contrasting color, and added a couple of widgets.
What do you think? I am open to anyone's suggestions on how to improve it even more.

good job vickie! wish i can design my own blog too but i'm just not creative enough. fortunately, there are blogger templates available hehehe..
by the way, your brother ben is very lucky to have a sister like you :)
Thank you! My uncle told me my cartoon looks like Sarah Palin ha ha ha!
I started with the 'Rounders' template and changed some of the colors and a few other things later on. My motto is if you don't know how to do it, Google!
I am glad to have joined Adgitize, entrecard, etc to have been able to find so many other nice bloggers to read and talk with :-)
