Adreine gets in trouble for hitting her little brother and is sent to her room. She's a major drama queen, so she is crying hysterically as she makes the walk of doom down the hall to her bedroom.
Time-outs for a six-year-old don't last long, so after a few minutes, I call her back to the living room for the discipline talk. You know the one that goes, "You got punished for [blank]. Don't do it again..."
Instead of sulking in like she usually does, she runs in at full speed with a piece of paper in her hand, throws it in my lap, and runs back to her bedroom.
I unfold it. It's a crayon drawing of what looks like a big sprinkler.
"What is this? Fireworks?" I call out to her.
"NO!" she yells, "It's a puddle of tears I cried just for you!"
Now tell me she's not a drama queen!

Gigglez...Oh goodness..that is so cute...Smiles
The scary part is how much she reminds me of myself sometimes.
Good to see you, btw :)
She is so funny!
It kills me how dramatic she is. I'm scared to think about what it will be like when she's a teenager.
